Nashashibi completed her degree in architecture from the University of Jordan
in 2004. After which she had the chance to work with a multi-disciplinary
corporate in Amman on a wide range of projects, from interior to urban
Saja managed to fulfill part of her dream and establish Paradigm Design House.
Paradigm DH was a chance to shift the paradigms of current thinking and
approach to design in a society to a completely different one. Synthesizing
into a well thought built architecture that belongs to its nature and people.
the professional practice, in 2009, she has started her academic experience by
teaching at the University of Jordan and currently an industrial professor at
the German Jordanian University.
Saja is a
multidisciplinary designer, the winner of Arab Architects Awards 2018. Her work
has been published recently in several magazines and blogs.
Arab Women in Architecture Part 2/6- Establishing a Practice and Working in the Public Sector
"Arab Women in Architecture" is a documentary that has been produced as part of the activities of the 2013 sixth cycle of the Omrania | CSBE Student Award for Excellence in Architectural Design. This 56-minute film features interviews with nineteen Arab architects from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Saudi Arabia. It explores the subject of the practice of architecture by Arab women architects and features stories on their experiences, challenges, and achievements. The film was first screened during the Award's sixth cycle ceremony, which took place on 7 January 2014 at the German Jordanian University's Othman Bdeir House for Architecture and Design in Amman, Jordan.
Architects featured in part 2 include: Shadia Yousef Touqan, Shahira Fahmy, Meisa Batayneh Maani, Simone Kosremelli, Howayda al-Harithy, Nemeh al-Qatanani, Jala Kakhzoumi, and Saja Nashashibi.
