Borj el-Hajoui
Tangier, Morocco
The storehouse and canon battery of the Hajaoui Fort. It was converted to be a center of the Municipal Bureau of Health until around 2001 when the Al Boughaz Association inscribed the structure on its preservation list of heritage sites in the Medina, with the objective of converting the facility into a center for traditional music and art.  The Asociación Confluencias Musicales, founded by musician and musicologist Omar Metioui, took over, and occupied the space.  It was restored with the assistance of the Tangier Al Madina Foundation.
