Catch The View House
Tangerang, Indonesia

The footprint of this two-storey house uses half its site area and as a result is surrounded by garden space with views out on both levels. Views delivered on the ground-floor living space through transparent folding glass doors blur the distinction between inside and outside. The second floor accommodates two bedrooms separated by a folding door and a glass-walled bathroom. A large void in the centre of the house further promotes the sensation of space and views to the planted garden beyond. Cross ventilation and natural light are maximised. Materials used include exposed concrete, aerated brick, natural stone and fibre-cement board.
