This project was the result of the client giving the architect free reign to design a building suitable for residential or administrative purposes. Sharifi wished to create an extraordinary, luxurious space and so introduced a vertical entrance slot leading to a cylindrical core, with a cylindrical elevator at its centre. Materials include glass, glass blocks and aluminium to create lightness and stone to denote opulence. White travertine louvres and small windows to the east façade temper street noise and create a calm appearance in a visually disharmonious environment. The client now uses the building as the headquarters of his petrochemical business.
