This pavilion houses a swimming pool for all seasons and is located in a wooded garden in Lavasan. The design is inspired by this garden and by the fluent lightness of water, creating a reciprocal interaction between site, building and water. Eight external columns define the glazed pool area that can be opened up in good weather and a roofed arbour with external fireplace marks the entrance. A steel and timber truss supports the curved roof that oversails the pool area to rest on the concrete-clad steel columns. Facing stone and timber cladding completes the natural aesthetic.
