Masjid-e-Tariq
Karachi, Pakistan
The mosque serves a colony for navy personnel, and was designed to accommodate 400 men and 100 women worshippers. It has a prayer hall, a female prayer gallery, ablution areas and Imam's quarters; a library and a committee room are planned for a future date. Each facade has a combination of one large and two smaller pointed arch windows, glazed in tinted glass. The structure is a reinforced concrete frame with four cross-beams. The central dome is GRP. All concrete work is plastered and painted, while other areas have a stone finish for minimum maintenance.
