Housing Project for Migrants
Kayes, Mali
Twenty-two private dwellings for returning migrant families. The project proposes a model for cost-effective housing (cheaper than the concrete blocks widespread over the region). On a broader scale, it attempts to open up access to housing programmes and lands through the development of a local construction factory, the introduction of a financing system adapted to local economic resources, the transfer of skills, and the reinforcement of a social neighbourhood development.
