The project sets out to convey a single message: traditional systems -specifically the advanced environmental systems of Middle Eastern architecture - are fit to satisfy modern needs. This principle is manifested in the use of atria, air catches and internal courtyards, and in the tying of the building mass to the ground. Building materials are locally available concrete, silt brick, steel frames and local stone or plaster for finishing.
