A multi-storey office building clad in deep blue reflective glass and aluminium curtain walls, with rental office space of 13,600 square metres. The first nine floors are treated in a traditional architectural style, in contrast to the 21-storey glass-clad tower above. A rigid central cast in-situ reinforced concrete core was developed around a central vertical service shaft that contains lifts, staircases, and services. The architect's challenge was to achieve a balance between the requirements of a modern office building whilst preserving traditional Qatari architectural methods.
