The school is located within the compound of an existing secondary school. Designed around a central courtyard, it serves 500 children - the majority of whom are from underprivileged families - and consists of 16 classrooms, a playground, an administration building, a staff room, a library, a video and music room, and an art room. The school is part SOS Kinderdorf International, a non-governmental child welfare organization. Building materials and design include local brick, reinforced concrete cement, cement terrazzo, and colourful tiles, doors and windows.
