Private housing and social facilities located in Istanbul's surrounding countryside. The main structures are concrete; roofs are covered with metal sheets and window frames, shutters and other façade finishings are made of aluminium. Instead of using the popular method of modernising existing Turkish houses, a new approach was taken to solve the problem of overcrowding, by adopting new architecture specifically designed for suburban living in a developing country. It is anticipated that this project will further develop to provide housing for lower income families.
