A planetarium built to accommodate the needs of the Council of Science and Technology, offering both administrative facilities and an educational space for adults and children. The planetarium, built in memory of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, is shaped like the planet Saturn. The dome contains the museum and planetarium while the surrounding rings consist of administrative offices. Specialised design was used to improve the dome's acoustics. Beams, columns and slabs successfully hold the spheroidal-centric structure together, which is built on a reinforced concrete pile foundation.
