City for Humanitarian Services
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
A non-profit medical rehabilitation hospital -- the largest of its kind in Saudi Arabia -- designed with 450 inpatient beds as well as ambulatory care facilities. The three-storey buildings are grouped around an oasis, featuring gardens and internal courtyards, making the complex look more like a health resort than a hospital. Primary construction materials include reinforced concrete, exposed structural steel and canopy framing, aluminum, glass, cast gypsum panels with Islamic motifs, limestone, and granites.
