Badran Residence
Cairo, Egypt
The project is located in a residential area on a flat corner lot. It consists of a two-storey detached house for a middle-income Egyptian family. The architect states that the origin of the project began from a wish to make a living environment, which was more natural and plastic in its form. The result has been the design and the construction of an organic composition of curvilinear volumes with the various functions organized at the first floor level. All communal areas are oriented toward the street, while the bedroom and a study overlook the garden. The main entrance, at the ground floor level, allows access to a generous centralized court, irregular in plan.
