Paper Loghouse Project
Degirmendere, Türkiye
Relief housing based on experience from the 1995 Kobe, Japan, earthquake, redesigned to consider both climate and lifestyles in Turkey. The constructions - made of paper tube walls and roof frames filled with waste paper for insulation - measure 18 m2 each, and are supported on foundations made from beverage crates reinforced with sandbags, and covered by PVC plastic sheets.
