Tomb A at Lal Mahra
Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan
Tomb A is a mud mortar brick structure, square in plan. The tomb measures 23' 8" externally and 18' internally.
The ornamentation of the exterior walls is achieved through the careful placement of mortar bricks in alternating bands of horizontal bricks, friezes in relief and terracotta plugs. The highly articulated facades are contrasted by the simple interior devoid of any ornament except for the mehrab.
The central dome of the tomb has almost collapsed completely and the structure is in a bad state of decay.
