In an area with a fast-growing population, this commission expanded from a new kindergarten building to eventually grow to include shared facilities with the existing school, including a computer lab, art and music classrooms, spaces for religious activity and a shared auditorium. The kindergarten adjoins a spacious common area on the ground floor, seamlessly connecting with the garden and swimming pool. The second storey houses classrooms and the third an open common space leading to a multipurpose hall; both share a connection bridge to the original building. Consideration of the tropical climate and the protective nature of the façade have delivered economies in lighting and air-conditioning compared with the old building.
