The Saadolsaltane historical complex is one of the brick structures in the city of Qazvin related to the Qajar era. One of the houses of this complex called Negarolsaltane was restored to become the space housing the Faculty. The principal decision was to retain as much of the brick masonry as possible, and, by adding other elements to create a binary reciprocity: traditional/post-modern, discipline/chaos, old/new, tough/smooth, using materials such as plaster sheets with metal infrastructure for volumes, cable for lighting and high-gloss wood for furniture. Introduced elements were painted white to promote a sense of calm and silence in this place of study and research.
