Serai Hotel
Karangasem, Indonesia
The five-star hotel comprises fifty-six standard guest rooms and two suites accommodated within four separate, two-storey buildings. The siting of the buildings preserves a coconut grove and provides ample cross ventilation for the rooms as an option to air-conditioning. The construction makes use of site-specific natural materials such as coconut wood, ochre-coloured stone, bamboo, and teak.
