In this article, the authors reflect on the ways in which the International Journal of Islamic Architecture, during its first ten years, has contributed to discussions redefining what constitutes Islamic architecture. The authors note that the collaborative practice of the journal’s editorial team has fostered emerging scholars’ work and allowed the team to rethink the geographical, chronological, and disciplinary boundaries of Islamic architectural histories and practices.
