University Centre for Health Sciences
Yaoundé, Cameroon

The programme for the centre was created by the World Health Organisation which wanted to create a teaching centre and medical practice adapted to developing countries where there were very many sick people but very few doctors. The buildings were constructed in béton brut (unfinished concrete) and building materials included stones extracted from the foundation works. The centre was incorporated within the site of the University of Cameroon at Yaoundé.
