Treelodge @ Punggol
Singapore, Singapore
This complex of seven 16-storey residential blocks, comprising a total of 712 dwelling units in a New Town, is an eco-precinct designed to demonstrate that high-rise, high-density construction can be sustainable and livable. The residential blocks sit on an extensively landscaped podium, above the naturally ventilated car park. This eco-deck contains social spaces (parks, gardens, etc.) and serves as a pedestrian connector with its green trellises. The rooftops are greened to reduce ambient temperature, the units are provided with balconies and planting areas, and the buildings are planted with vines for vertical greening. They are also equipped with solar panels and rain-water harvesting.
