Tekfen Yalikavak Houses
Muğla, Türkiye
The topography was used as the primary design element for this development, which aims to make users feel they own a private holiday home instead of being part of an 84-house settlement. Three basic types of single-storey villa are arranged in variously configured pairs, one on top of the other. For privacy, living areas are placed on opposite sides in the upper and lower house, the steeply sloping site allowing both to open out onto a private pool area. All interior and exterior spaces afford panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. Retaining walls of local rock form a link between the whitewashed concrete buildings and the landscape.
