The fluid spaces of this house are intended to reflect the lifestyle of the client, a young businessman with a 'high degree of mobility and intense work-hours'. The main building mass is narrow - to ensure cross-ventilation - and elevated on columns, creating open areas for the living room, dining room and kitchen. A gently sloping ramp connects the ground floor with the more massive first floor, containing bedrooms, bathrooms and study. The finishing materials are industrial, for ease of maintenance: floors are exposed concrete, walls are cement plaster or moveable wire-mesh panels.
