Maghreb Arab Square Landscaping
Kairouan, Tunisia
A modest intervention for a historic pilgrimage site. A 100 m-long walkway links a parking lot with a library and the Mausoleum of Abou Zoumaa Al Balaoui. It is flanked on one side by a water channel linking a series of rectangular basins, which in turn adjoin the mausoleum garden. On the other side, a short flight of steps leads to a large triangular esplanade, where palm trees alternate with four timber and metal shelters.
