Foo Residence
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The house occupies a hilltop site with panoramic views over the Klang Valley below. It was designed to hug the contours of the land, so as to minimise groundwork and take advantage of prevailing winds. Natural ventilation is enhanced by a variety of devices, most notably the 'breathing wall' - a marine ply skin hung 250 mm out from the main wall - that promotes a free flow of air between both wall layers over three independent floors.
