Al-Marzook Medical Center and Mosque
Kuwait City, Kuwait
The two-storey medical center follows a V-shaped plan, with the conference hall, cafeteria and entrance lobby placed at the point of the V and the laboratories, offices, clinic and library distributed over the two branches of the V. The complex is lavishly decorated with gold-leaf calligraphy, hand-carved marble, hand-carved Moroccan plaster, hand-made Spanish arabesque tiles and hand-made bronze light fittings. The dome of the mosque and the minaret finial are cladded with gilt ceramic tiles. The main entrance doors of the mosque and medical center are of local brass cratfsmanship.
