The Fez Photograph Album is a collection of black-and-white postcard proofs, which can be tentatively dated to 1920-1921 based on a political poster visible in one of the street scenes. None of the proofs contain photographer or studio information; whether some of them were printed as postcards is also unknown. These images provide exceptional documentation of the ramparts of Fez, as well as covering sites within Fez al-Bali, Fez al-Djedid, and the French colonial town of Fez Ville Nouvelle. Each proof displays a handwritten caption in French. The captions contain both the original captions and English translations with additional information, where available.
