Hebron Rehabilitation Committee (HRC) was established to rehabilitate and upgrade the old stone town of Hebron. HRC has 13 members, including the Minister of Transportation, officials from the Ministry of Sports and Ministry of Waqf, and representatives from NGOs. These members chair lower committees which are responsible for issues relating to housing, tender, public relations, purchasing, legal issues, information, and social welfare. The executive arm of HRC is the Engineering Office, which performs the function of the town planning office. It has two main divisions, an administration office, and a technical office that staffs the projects and controls their implementation. (Source: AKAA)
