Khadija Jamal-Shaban

Khadija Jamal-Shaban is a Pakistani architect and planner, trained at the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the NED University of Engineering and Technology in Karachi. Ms. Jamal-Shaban works in the fields of design, planning, and development, and is committed to improving the quality of human life through the built environment. Her work has been located in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and Kazakhstan, as well as in Pakistan, and she has been a consultant to such agencies as the World Bank, the Swiss Development Cooperation, USAID, the Aga Khan Development Network, and other non-governmental organisations. Ms. Jamal-Shaban is a visiting faculty member of the NED University of Engineering and Technology in Karachi, and advises final year thesis students. She is an active member of the Institute of Architects of Pakistan, and committed to increasing professional standards in the country.
