Muhammed Madandola holds a degree in architecture from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in Nigeria. He graduated with a Master's in Islamic art, architecture and urbanism, with honours from Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar. As a graduate researcher, he has undertaken studies on themes including cultural heritage tourism, architecture theory and criticism, urban intervention, African architecture, Mosque architecture and sustainable architecture and urbanism.
