Where are we in Architecture?
Is there a current trend in architecture? i question where we are, and where we are headed,

however, is there not a common link in the current design process with modernist design but just a differnt application for materials?

I think it depends on what part of the world you are in. Some parts of the worl havent even seen the maturaity of modernism, let alone the start of post modern or deconstructivism. Besides that sustainable design is something that keeps coming up but unfortuantely it is in a constant cycle coming up and going down. Ken yeang is very interesting in that divison. The architects from the developing world are also developing some interesting styles due to the fusion of their modern teachings and traditional backgrounds. i think it is one of those in between times right now where we are waiting for a new style to emerge. My owm leaning is finally falling towards sustainable urban design, thus the reason i work and live at Arcosanti. Arcosanti

internalisation is very important,in architecture still lots to be done it's not only good design but internal satisfaction with that particular project as well as other should get inspiration & guidance to his own self is called architecture

How about the concecpt of Interest??

The fact society and life is driven by what intrests and motivates us, this relating to architecture shows us how we design to create new intresting enviroments.

Getting excited by new designs and unfolding them to create amzing new spaces but this comes back to what interests us and so the interest factor must play a large role in emerging architecture, okay the FOG Guggenheim, bilboa 1999 yes not as recent as Zaha Hadids Rosthenhal Museum but both are intresting designs that are visualy intresting and lead to new exciting spaces being developed......
