Archaeological Remains at Baalbeck
Priya, Baalbeck is in Lebanon and in recent years I have heard of the Baalbeck valley.

I think but I am not completely sure, that the name Baalbeck is a reference to the ancient religion and worship of the God Baal and the people there worshipped an idol called "the Golden Calf".

From what I recall of the archaeology of this region, the architecture is a mixture of ancient Greek and ancient Roman styles and designs.
