Probably these: (a) The niche in the wall to show which compass direction to pray, (b) the stair chair for the imam and (c) arabic calligraphy.

But do these elements have some additional meanings and values? And what are those meanings and values which are associated with these elements? How much they are significant to Islam as a religion? or their long association with the mosque have made them significant in terms of mental association.
