This is an absolutely unique piece of brilliant architecture. It should be a pleasure to capture all the mathematical dimensions of the place.Just going through the step by step visual reconstruction and artistic restoration of the place would be quite a thrill!

Interesting, I assume "Khankhanan" is similar in meaning to the original Mongol word "Khakhan"? If I recall correctly, Khakhan meant a warrior whose exceptional bravery in battle earned the title of "Khakhan" and therefore he could commit ten capital crimes without fear of execution.

this tomb is of a famous indian poet of akbar and jahangir's reign... and not of some famous warrior... the poets name is rahim das.. whose couplets are quite famous even now...

He was the son of Akbar's regent Bairam Khan. He was one of the nine gems in Akbar's court. Khankhana is a village in Punjab.

well you can contact ASI to get details on the plans and section etc .

there you can get typical books containing all information regarding hight-width, dimention and building materials used in the construction of it , and will also get some books on its history too.

if you can give some details on for exactly what purpose you want to know the details , may be it will be easy to give you exact infos.

Hahahah..! hey Gogo, enjoying in Archnet? here ur sure to get good responses. Gentlemen, we both are from the same Architecture college, and we have been given a year-end summer project, in which we have to chose a monument in india and study its architecture and make sheets on the details... In a more specific light, can anyone tell me the main features of Il-Khanid and Timurid Architecture, because both gayatri and I are doing tombs that though are in Delhi, India, their Architecture is mainly Persian and Central Asian. I am currently trying to trace the development of the Bulbous double Dome... Abdr-Rahim Khankhana has a Double dome, so does the tomb i'm dealing with, so any details how they were constructed and prepared, where they originated etc. Would be a big help!
