Dear Esra!

First of all you need to define what do u want to achieve? you must set up your goals!.

Secondly, you must start researching on the shapes and geometry of the Islamic art!

check out these 2 links....

cmcuworkshops.net/wordpress/.../isl-geo-patterns-for-teaching-symmetry.pdf

www.metmuseum.org/.../islamic_geometric/islamic_art_and_geometric_design.pdf

i am sure you will find it useful..

Esra do also look up quazi crystals. its a new research and can help you generate forms from the Islamic patterns you study for your building.

Esra, The book "A Sense of Unity" by Ardalan and Baktiar is an interesting introduction to Islamic design in architecture.
