hi all, i need to study about "urban open spaces". what is the Indian history of urban open spaces through ages to the present day context and its morphology and its future?

Vikkram, "Urban open spaces" is usually a contradiction because urban implies a heavy concentration of both people and buildings. Traditionally, I imagine that there were three reasons for open spaces within urban areas:-

(a) Military: A space for parading and training soldiers within a city.

(b) Commercial: A space for a market and exchange of goods and services.

(c) Religious: A space for mass attendance, such as for a Holy Day.

this is a small assignment. i am doing another pressentation. After that i'll work on open spaces. and the end of this month our semester completes. After that i'll collect all my freinds submissions along with my work and from that we'll try to document that.
