HELLO. I AM A FINAL YEAR STUDENT OF B.ARCH AND I HAVE CHOSEN "GREEN ARCHITECTURE IN TROPICAL CLIMATES".
I AM FROM KENYA AND WOULD LIKE MY STUDY TO ZERO IN ON THE LOCAL ENVIRONMENT AS A MEANS OF ACHIEVING GREEN ARCHITECTURE IN THE EAST AFRICAN REGION.

Sustainable Architecture
Irfan, depends upon what you call "green architecture" because to me these words mean "sustainable architecture" and to me this means architecture which not only works with the local climate by using passive design, but also works with the environment by using materials from sustainable resources which is another way of saying that the more local the source of the materials the better, because the cost of transportation needs to be a part of the equation.
Therefore, the words "green architecture" and "sustainable architecture" are modern reinventions of traditional architecture and vernacular architecture.
