Hai, my name is Mohd Afzal Zainozin. I am student from Malaysia, study in dgree of Quantity Surveying. I had read your publication about Conservation and Design Guidelines for Zanzibar Stone Town. I used your publication as my case study in my research on conservation building. To complete my research, may i request for detailed information about construction cost for Case Study No. 1278?

For case study of House No. 1287, may i have the real pictures of that building. If possible, before and after conservation pictures.

Dear Mohd,

All ArchNet material on Zanzibar / Old Stone Town is accessible online, here. ArchNet does not have additional photographs or publications available for distribution.

There might be bibliographies associated with some of the entries on ArchNet that list useful sources for further research.

Good luck finding the information you seek.

Dear All, I would be interested to know what form of stone construction is used for the buildings and walls?

Are the buildings completely made of stone with interior vaulting, or do they have stone walls on the ground floor and timber construction on the upper floors?
