Urban Design

legibility of cities
Hi everyone,

Legibility is often defined as imageability of urban spaces (remember Kevin Lynch) and ability provided by the space to find the way in an urban space.
One point is legibility is almost always thought as a 'good and rational' criterion for urban design. Do you agree with this?

And can you do a comprehensive definiton of the term,
and/or add any more theoreticians working on this topic?
