I am a student in my 2nd year of archtectural technology at the University of Westminster in London. I am looking at doing research in building sustainable skyscrapers in India, but I am running out of resources. I would appreciate it if you could kindly suggest books and ponder thoughts. Thank you.
Check out the work of Ken Yeang from Malaysia. He has devoted much of his practice to the idea of bio-climatic buildings. One of his projects, the Menara Mesiniaga, won an Aga Khan Award for aiming to achieve this ideal. The ArchNet Digital Library also contains a publication by Mr. Yeang entitled Designing the Tropical Skyscraper
This is interesting for my research on sustainable buildings in Asia. Part of the research should talk about what the region used to use 100 years ago instead of this solution...any guidance appreciated...and more buildings too.
