Ofouq Villa Landscaping
Cairo, Egypt
Although the brief was for a summer house, over time this villa became the client’s main residence. He requested that outdoor areas be provided for recreation and gatherings, including a substantial pool and paths through the landscaped garden. As a result, the three-acre plot of land has been designed to enable direct contact with nature. An irregular-shaped pool forms the focal point of the garden connecting all the landscape elements together. This includes pathways, planting, shading structures and seating. Local materials are used for both soft and hard landscaping, ranging from 300 plants and trees to sandstone, marble and ceramics.
