Bespoke neo-classical detailing, postmodern design, and extensive security and energy-saving measures combine to make this house one of a kind. Exposure to indirect northern sunlight and beautiful views are maximised in the orientation of the plan. There is visual continuity from the main entrance through the house to the garden and views. Provision for surveillance cameras and for fire, gas and smoke alarms is built in. An electric shock prevention system is also incorporated, and concealed emergency drainage installed in all areas subject to flooding. Rat traps are embedded in walls to avoid exposure to poison within or outside the house.
