Akel Kavacik Office Building
Istanbul, Türkiye

Since the landowner and construction firm agreed to share the property value equally, the design is based on two symmetrical masses. The façade and plan were set on a modular grid pattern. External louvres, which allow interior climate control, vary in colour. The play of sunlight produces a dynamic façade. Office spaces are adjustable. Their independent zoning is set around four major columns that allow negative spaces such as lounges or even enclosed spaces to be formed. On the upper levels there are terraces and administrative offices. A prefabrication system allowed swift construction.
