Imamzadah Shah Riza
Shahreza, Iran
Imamzadah Shah Riza is the mausoleum of a descendant of the prophet. It is situated 70 kilometers south of Isfahan on the foothills outside the city of Shahriza.

Before recent interventions (estimated to have taken place in the 1990s), the shrine consisted of a domed sanctuary preceded by a portico with wooden columns that stood in a courtyard with a large pool. Following these interventions, the original Safavid structures were entirely destroyed and a new set of buildings were erected. Of the original site, only the actual grave remains.
