Postal Sorting Building
Casablanca, Morocco
The four-storey building is utilized for postal sorting. On the ground floor, postal vans can drive into building to pick up or deliver mail for sorting. The outer facades are treated with cantilevered parts on the upper floors. The latter are cladded with blue ceramic tiles, and stand in contrast to the rest of the building with its different types of exposed concrete finishes. The design incorporated the use of durable and essentially maintenance free materials. The exterior and interior facades of the building were respectively adorned and painted with murals by a group of Moroccan artists.
