Taimour Residences
Giza, Egypt
Two houses built respectively in the northern and southern portion of the land, with a pool located in the center of the space separating them. The single-storey residences have similair ground plans which includes large living spaces with an adjacent verandah, a master bedroom, a children's bedroom, a kitchen, and a bathroom. A staircase in the courtyard leads to the roof terrace.

Thermal insulation has been achieved by means of thick masonry walls, internal patios, pergola covered spaces, wide front terraces to the living area which provide shade to the south oriented house and protection from the cold winds to the north facing house. Masonry domes and arches highlight entrances and transition spaces.
