Pepsi Cola Bottling Plant
Sixth of October City, Egypt
The bottling plant has a dual character, both international and local. The international aspect is evident in the expansive glazing (coloured Pepsi blue) and curved office space. The local can be seen in the building envelopes, which evoke an 'ablaque' textile, with horizontal bands of alternating colours and materials - sandstone and blue, green and white ceramic tiles for the bottling plant, and rose and white sand bricks for the services building.
