"Sited in Kom al-Akhdar, this villa was designed for Fathy's brother Muhammad, who went on to become a well known composer of songs based on classical Arabian themes. While conventionally organized in plan, with an entry foyer and central stairwell giving access into a formal living room and dining room arrangement, the exterior of the house utilizes a strong Mediterranean theme, with vertical forms capped with red-tiled roofs predominating."
