The tomb stands in the Mehrauli village district near the Quwwat ul Islam complex in Delhi. It is dedicated to a saint and poet of the early Mughal court, Jalal Khan or Sheikh Fadlullah (d. 1535), known as 'Jamali', together with an unidentified companion known as 'Kamali'. The tomb is next to the mosque, the Jamali Kamali Mosque, which was a private commission by Jamali.
